CROSSWAY is a brand new church in Bakersfield, CA. We have been meeting for over one year and God continues to add others to our new body by bringing unbelievers into our new church! All ages are welcome to come and free day care will be provided for all children 4 years old and younger (for more information regarding our meetings please go to the Meeting Info. link above).

Crossway is a church that is thoroughly and purposefully preaching through the Bible and holds to the Bible as our ONLY rule for what we believe and what we do. Because we believe that Scripture is the food that feeds our soul, our morning services is focused on looking at the Bible and explaining it so that everyone can understand what God wants them to hear.

Because we believe that friendship and community is an essential part of living the Christian life and of being part of our Church. We enjoy spending lots of time talking and encouraging each other during our morning service. You are welcome to visit with us during this time (10:30 on Sunday mornings) and enjoy free coffee, doughnuts/bagels, and juice–and  friendship too.

• Preaching...Why?

  Why is it so important to have preaching that focuses on the truth of the word of God rather than on the audience?

• While you cannot separate the two entirely, it might be best to say that a church that focuses on clearly explaining the truth of Scripture is giving the hearers what is most important rather than what is most desired!

• Crossway's Mission

  Crossway's mission is summarized with two thought.

• 1) We want to reach those who do not know our Lord and we want to communicate God's grace to them.

• 2) We want to reach those who are believers and we want to encourage them to grow in God's grace.
